We are excited to announce the launch of Access Justice Brooklyn’s Financial Literacy Program!
Our staff and volunteers visit and partner with schools, youth and community centers, faith-based organizations, and elected officials offices across Brooklyn or virtually, providing free presentations and FAQ sessions covering topics such as:
- Navigating the complexities of student loans
- Understanding credit cards, and interpreting credit reports and scores
- The fundamentals of creating a budget and begin saving
Every presentation is intended to empower Brooklynites of all ages to make informed decisions regarding their financial future. Participants who have specific legal issues and meet our financial eligibility criteria may also make follow-up appointments for individual assistance.
If you would like to schedule a presentation or if you are seeking additional information, please contact Melissa Starr, Senior Director of Development & Strategic Initiatives, or call (718) 473-9209, with any questions.
